Oh the miata/MX5 is definitely. We don't get any mazdaspeed over in Australia, though we did get a hot Mazda3 which counts. You're right, Mazda are actually doing a pretty good job.

2000hp with no diffuser and very little wing. I'm not going to claim to fully understand aerodynamics, but that's asking to fail.

How is it that the "land of the free" justifies making you crash test and fully comply a car before importing it (#1)? I mean. There are thousands of Skylines driving around all over the world. It's been crash tested by the manufacturer. So why are you required to jump through so many hoops?

I find that manuals usually have all the informationyou don't need, and none of what you do. I bet that manual is full of heaps of inane crap, but couldn't help you in your time of need. Doesn't necessarily mean it should be removed, it's just the way of manuals.

Mind blown

People think black cars make them look like batman. They don't realize they're missing the point.

3 performance-ish cars isn't so bad. Toyota have had zero for years until the 86. Honda have too. And Mazda, since the RX8 died. It could be worse.

I think more peopleuse CDs in their car than you think. But I reckon most could live without them, and would if they had to.

This is horrific. How can they make such an awful and pointless poster?

I don't think this is because it didn't work per se, but it added complexity to modifying the car, and made the car less reliable at the limit.

I thoughtPorsche had brought it back just recently.

That's because people are fools. Sheer numbers mean more to a lot of people. Numbers they'll never use or care about, like launching to 100 half a second faster, or having a 20km/hr higher top speed.

This is the best selling car in Australia. Also, that Chevy SS sells quite well (though most people probably get the non v8 model). Interesting how the habits of two similar countries can be so different.

I reckon there are reasons to buy it other than sheer performance and numbers. That engine!

Wait.We don't get this in Australia. What is it and what's good about it?

Asking for a brand new car is a bit far. But at the same time, he's right in being scared because he's no idea what else has happened to the car. Poor guy.

Got high hopes. The 159 was a glorious looking car it really was.

Agreed. The Evo, if nothing else, gave them some fanboys who loved the brand. My friend is one, has an Evo 6 and Ralliart Colt. If they kill the Evo, and the Ralliart Colt is replaced with the Mirage (which is awful and has no sporty sibling), would even he buy another Mitsubishi in the future? Probably not.

That's what I was thinking. Were any of those built in the last decade? Mitsubishi is in bad shape.

I guess one benefit of calling it a "concept" is you have some more flexibility to change it or cancel it before production if everyone hates it. In a world where many cars try to be as beige as possible to appeal to everyone, maybe calling something a concept is used as a way of showing a car while leaving wiggle
