Beautiful, and unique enough to make a difference.

This is more accurate. Statements like "they almost used the engine for something" isn't the same as building the concept.

Another "coupe" that isn't a coupe, great. Doug was right, they shouldn't be filling niches like this when their volume sellers aren't working.

That's a shame. Australia had both for a while, I think the outback has disappeared of late though.

How did the outbackkill the legacy wagon? Aren't they effectively the same car under the skin? Couldn't they co-exist?

Targa tops are the best way to do a convertible. Love the gratuitous badging, love it.

I'ma little confused. As you accelerate, does the CVT hold the same revs? or climb to simulate gears? I sort of got the impression of both from the article.

That car is so beautiful. And unique. And still a Kia. They need to build it. Need to.

Who wants a hand crank sunroof? Isn't a manually sliding one heaps easier?

What's a Routan?

A teaser that doesn't tease, for a coupe that isn't a coupe. The world has gone mad. Those damn marketers.

But is that the only reason? They were making them from the beginning with suicidal handling, manual wind-up windows and carburetors. Why is it that people pine for one piece of out of date technology if not the rest?

That's fantastic! It came out very well. Jealous! Here's a shot of mine. Excuse the filtering, it's a phone wallpaper.

I wish I could justify that sort of thing :p I do like the Playstations, but the lack of racing games is killing me.

Excuse my ignorance, but why are air-cooled Porsches so revered? Is it just a way of categorizing the older era? Or is there some technical reason?

This looks like it's based on a newer Porsche. Does that mean air-cooling was introduced where where was no air-cooling before?

I know an apprentice mechanic. Haggard Lancer with busted bodykit.

I was really fixated on that weird ledge at the back below the lights, they both have that and I can't think of any other cars that do.

Sure was ;)

I didn't say that, you're drawing what I said to extremes. What I meant is that BMW has put a futuristic car into production, and if Mercedes want to make a splash they should be putting some of these features and design things in too.
