I think the issue with millenials and cars is that they (on average) prefer form over function. It is a trend they have carried over from the other facets of their lives. It is never more easily seen in car culture than Stance. How many Stance fans do you think know what Scrub Radius is?
This was a big reason why we deleted power steering back in the day. It took a while for power steering to find an appropriate mix of assist and feel.
