This isn’t just about depression. Sinead, for instance, thought she had bipolar disorder, and now believes she’s dealing with PTSD instead. There’s also borderline personality disorder. Coping with BPD or bipolar is not the same game as clinical depression

I think people are understandably bored and frustrated with the notion that rape and humiliation are ways to make women “strong” in stories. Men have written that arc a thousand times.
