those kind of numbers restructure the energy efficiency of per kwh spent on the vehicles’ full battery-to-movement life cycle. We would have to see how efficiently the two vehicles use per kwh from the battery up to the drag factor and see how much of a difference that makes.

qi-like setups, power coupler converters, and like the diesel pump being close to the regular gas pumps; there’s ways to get electric to consumers almost anywhere. hell, power companies could get in on it and set up network chargers to bill people in the most direct way possible.

extreme caveat: depends on the place you pump your gas. many places will just straight up never refund you the unused difference. QuikTrip is a prime example of that.

it’s just like bathroom etiquette, people have stopped following social norm rules and are all in for their own selfishness. Only burning them (not just threatening) with tickets/boots/tows will get them to even slightly change their behaviour.

It will probably play out like early Teslas. lots of people who just want something different, regardless the cost, will buy it. Then down the line the cheaper, more consumer focused version will hit.
Hopefully they come actually constructed well.

I think re-working the title “easy” can side-step this. In Baldur’s gate Enhanced Editions they made “easy” mode “story” mode and included a blurb on how it’s there to focus the story and not the combat. 

that’s like saying to a Marvel fan with epilepsy “just don’t watch the movies”. it’s denying what someone enjoys. 

same for my regal that can’t seem to keep an axle controlling arm together to save its life.
