I've had something similar for awhile - we call it our "Oh, shit" account.

I wonder how much the lower failure rates are due to plugins not being compatible with the new version. Fewer plugins = fewer crashes.

Anyone know of an update checker that runs as a system service and automatically downloads patches? We run an IT support business and most users do not have admin privileges to install programs. Would be nice to have something running in the background to automatically do this for them.
