That’s not true. Either right before I got or right after I quit Destiny, I played a ton of CoD: AW and never lost the ability to keep up in PvP. And I never bought anything but the main game. Also never had issues with Halo PvP, but Bungie made Destiny boring AF with repetitive raids and limited narrative.

huge content drops per season with full campaigns worth of story”

You receive zero stars. Tipping is an awful system that serves no one but the employer that wants to cheat employees on wages and customers with misleading prices. At a time when better restaurants in America are abandoning the racist practice of tipping by just paying their employees better, there’s no good reason

Restaurants would just increase prices”

Different nations have different service expectations regardless of tipping. Generally, service in Europe isn’t “good” by American standards (assuming equal quality restaurants), but tipping isn’t the reason. It’s because you shouldn’t expect a servant.

Tipping is a bad, dumb practice that I’d like to see end in America (with proper wages being paid by the people responsible for ensuring the welfare of their employees, aka employers). I love traveling to other countries especially when I don’t have any expectation to tip. Europe is fairly expensive but you know what

So you’re saying many gamers engage in toxic and antisocial behavior? I couldn’t have imagined such a thing when so many people feel the need to crouch repeatedly in FPS after each kill. And don’t you dare infringe on their freedumbs by suggesting that the first amendment doesn’t apply!!!

“(O)nly 792 players online at the time of writing.”

one more experiment in seeing how effective many people will pay to watch two-hour commercials can be

But it does. There are two ways I assume most people engage with sports video games 1) they play online in PvP or 2) they play a season or franchise either alone or with a couple friends competitively.

Did fans complain about those games changing or that they became the money grab that is games as a service. It’s not a question if you’re wondering if I miss-punctured that sentence.

Jokes on you. Bethesda has been using randomly generated text this whole time, which is why it sucks.

Annuals are mostly enjoyed PvP. At least I hope no one paid $60 for CoDs 3 hour long campaign. As such the compelling part is the fact the servers are full of other players that also wasted their money buying the same game again because FOMO. This makes them fundamentally different from Ubisoft making a formula and

Well 6. Give them 3 years and it’ll be 8

I like a long game as much as the next guy, but I’d rather play a great 30 hour game twice than go fishing to catch 10 trout to make an offering at a shrine to clear that icon because that’s part of the extra 30 hours of “content”. OG AC had all these hidden chests and spots you could find to fill out time if you want

I don’t think we need a “decline” in them, but some more creativity on the part of developers sure would be nice. Instead of having a bunch of useless busywork to do, maybe they could make stories that are interesting and make sense. And as for Bethesda, TES, FO, and now Starfield are literally the same games and have

Not sure how you assert that reviewers are “doing a shit job”. You may disagree with their opinions, but that is exactly what you get from a review, an opinion. I often joke with people that their opinions are wrong because it’s such a nonsense thing to think. If you don’t like a reviewer’s opinions, maybe they’re not

Don’t forget to catch 10 of this specific fish to offer at this shrine for an attribute point you don’t brew that doesn’t do anything anyway.

I think a game could absolutely introduce a city without markers but rather street signs and directions to reach an area. The map couldn’t be 1000 square miles or whatever nonsense is planned for the next AC game, but that’s fine with me. Create a city and make players learn to navigate the city in a meaningful way.

Get this, you get to pilot the plane that takes Sam to the drop point. Then you can switch to Sam for the mission, and we’re introducing a new agent to work with him that you can also switch to to complete you objectives. And when it’s all done you call the pilot and switch back so you can fly to the next mission!!!”
