It works best when you're in a subway car full of people.

As Richard pointed out, it is rare when a JRPG is fully voiced. You really only get the best voice + text combo from dating sims and VNs. All around it's much easier to look up individual words or kanji when you have both the text and the kanji reading right in front of you. Most VNs also let you repeat individual

Not quite. Movies and TV definitely help with your listening comprehension, but they don't help you with reading comprehension in the same way a dating sim or visual novel would. Regular Japanese games very rarely have both full voicing and full text.

Can't argue with that last bit. I think you're right about where the confusion is coming from on both sides.

I don't even know how to begin to respond, there are so many things going on in your post. How is an e-shop not a standard feature when every platform has one? Could a new console maker choose to NOT have an online store in 2014 and expect to compete on the same level as Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, etc.?

>Also wrong about the "Sony has been doing it longer"

Manaka. Not that I've... played this game or anything. (Seriously though - Manaka.)

>People bitch because they can't "crossbuy with 3DS" Even though they are completely different systems
