Not quite. Movies and TV definitely help with your listening comprehension, but they don't help you with reading comprehension in the same way a dating sim or visual novel would. Regular Japanese games very rarely have both full voicing and full text.

I don't even know how to begin to respond, there are so many things going on in your post. How is an e-shop not a standard feature when every platform has one?
