You people are crazy. The cars sound amazing in person. Those turbos are loud and the engines have a refined note. The problem is the cars sound completely different on TV (to my ear, worlds apart) and this sounds like an attempt to close the gap. Sheer decibels alone aren’t a measure of overall sound quality.
Weren’t the rules changed immediately afterward? Isn’t that why it wasn’t penalized? Or did I just make that up?
