Exactly. Same with Yoda, you don't see him using a lightsaber in the original trilogy, which I always assumed was because his mastery of the force was so great he didn't need such things any more. Unrealistic as Lysa's confession seemed, its faithful to the source material. There is a very similar scene in the books, although I think its not until book 4. Same basic idea, unhinged babbling about things she should be keeping her mouth shut about.
