Well, I mean most of us are amateurs at a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean there’s any harm in it.

Ugh. I wish I was getting gaunt. Instead I am in full blown distress eating mode. Not the best way to handle distress and anxiety, but my job frowns on showing up completely shit-faced. Or not showing up because I’m hiding under the covers. This is the only semi-social appropriate way of handling my despair at this

No gauntness for me. I’m eating my feelings, thankyouverymuch.

When recently asked about The Simpsons episode where President Lisa Simpson mentions the budget problems they inherited from President Trump, creator Matt Groening said

You’re not alone. I am formulating a plan to call out prominent republicans for failing to say anything about the racial incidents and the KKK VICTORY PARADE. I’d love everyone to post and write to Ryan, McConnell, and McCain and call them out for their cowardice. Dipshits help the assholes come out from the shadows

The one cool rebellion idea I have found on the web today is donating to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s name. Here’s the address so you can send him a card: Office of the Governor 200 W. Washington St., Rm. 206 Indianapolis, IN 46204

i’m really, really glad you kept the cats.

The worst? No. Bad, oh fuck ya.

You don’t? I remember them questioning his very citizenship because of the color of his skin, then throwing a Revolutionary War cos-play themed temper tantrum.

I teach students of all ages at a music school in super-liberal Portland, OR. I loved hearing their thoughts and opinions. A couple of the younger ones were afraid of a Trump presidency. I told them, “Yesterday, something amazing happened! I got to vote for a woman for the very first time! And, I’m bummed that she

I had my students write about it. Then I pasted all responses into a Word document, blew it up, and posted it on my board.

I am a teacher at a private Christian School in MO, and so the mood here has been very different than these experiences. We have few minority students, and I am probably the only person they know who didn’t vote for Trump. My reasons are simple: from a biblical perspective, Clinton’s values more closely aligned with

The first thing I saw when I got to school after the election was one of our Latino students, whose parents are undocumented. She was openly weeping, and I burst into tears, too. But I was encouraged to see a group of students come beside her with hugs and promises of support. Those future voters will not forget what

The House speaker is not a fan of him, and a part of his party already despised him enough to try and get rid of him at the RNC convention.

This article went a little bit into why women supported Trump. This part jumped out at me. It framed the support as being a safety net. More financially secure women tended to support equality, less financially secure women tended to support conservative values which might lead to support as a wife.

I would not trust that person to care for a child. “I know letting him eat play-doh is wrong, so I just let him drink paint instead because both are both bad, I think?”

They are a bunch of Aunt Tom’s if you ask me.

Please take super good care of yourself. Those post-parting hormones really mess you up. I howled for a day and a night for the parents of the Heaven’s Gate cult because that happened about a week after my son was born. I can’t imagine how challenging it will be to ride out this upheaval.
