Enjoy your vacation!
That looks and sounds amazing!
This makes me very excited! We are honeymooning in Bali and Lombok in October. Then meeting my mom and my hubby’s parents in Bangkok to do 5 weeks of Thailand and Cambodia—nervous and excited about that part, but I am super excited to explore a little bit of Indonesia for the first time!
As someone who is fairly emotionally distant, please know you’ll find a compatible partner! My husband and I are very non-emotional people so it sometimes can seem like neither of us really cares. That’s not the case, of course, but I have to remind myself how my lack of emotion can come across to him, and vice versa.…
So much this. My husband and I don’t want kids, but there seems to be this misconception that we hate kids or never want to be around them. We are both very involved our niece and nephews lives, and I love all of my friend’s kids to pieces. But more and more it seems like we get left out of things, because “Oh I…
One year, I went to 10 weddings. All family/close friends so I couldn’t really say “no” to any of them. To add salt to the wound, not only was I single but that was the year my fiance and I were supposed to get married. (Oh, I was much better off without him, but nothing like being the newly single chick and thinking…
ha ha, this is so me. Who needs cardio? I just lift heavy things faster!
ugh I feel for that poor woman! I am an ambulance dispatcher, and whenever I take or dispatch calls that are things like delivering a baby or some kind of vaginal problem and it’s a high priority call so fire dept. first responders are also dispatched, I always think of the poor woman, laying spread eagle on the floor…
Hi, Jezzies! I don’t post much in here and this will probably get lost in the greys, but...
I am struggling with exactly this right now. We are getting married in 2 weeks, and skipping most of the “traditional” wedding stuff in favour of doing exactly the type of wedding we want. I was against taking his last name, but just to see how it looked I ordered our guestbook with Him and Me Hislastname, and it…
I hear ya. When I was single (and all of my friends were married) I received way more unsolicited relationship advice than I could ever need. “Getting out there,” for me, really meant expanding my social circle from my usual friends and co-workers. I joined a new gym and started taking classes, I tried to go to…
Merry Christmas, Jezzies!
That looks fantastic!
Yep. Working nightshift right now, and Christmas night. 1800hrs-0630. We get double-time and a half for all hours on the 25th, and also it kind of gets me out of most family obligations (besides a short visit after my post-shift nap) so overall it is a lot less stressful.
Yup :) We celebrated on Wednesday (fiance and I are both emergency services workers and work opposite shifts over Christmas) so the fur kids got spoiled a couple days early. Stockings full of treats, and a new squeaky toy for Sita (the brindle)... Bella is grumpy and would prefer cuddles to toys. I love spoiling…
meh, no kids for us. I’m pretty excited that my doctor is finally on board with having my tubes tied.
Yes. This exactly. My platoon at work is all men, and tonight we are going for pre-Christmas drinks after work. All of them say that their wives are “letting” them go out tonight. I don’t really think that the dynamic in my relationship with my fiance is that different, but our conversation went like this: “So, we’re…
I drunkenly hooked up with a co-worker one night, and had that WTF, are we really going to see each other naked in broad daylight, freakout the next morning.
Oh yes, Road ID should definitely be on this list! My hubby and I both have them, not just for running/biking/hiking etc., but he also wears it on his week-long hikes and hunting trips.
