To me, by these definitions, many horror movies don't exist anymore because of Supernatural. The tension hooks, set ups, and deliveries are so deliberate (by design) I'm ultimately left thinking, "aaaand now the Winchesters would show up." I'm baffled by the surprising lack of rock-salt shot guns.
