If you haven’t already, give RE7 a go. It’s cheap and a great jumping in point.

Played the demo on a 2060 Super and a PS5. Was a tough call but bought the PS5 version. Played well on the 2060 super but had to play without raytracing, 1440p all settings on high 60 + FPS. PS5 is locked 60 fps at a chequerboard 2160, and mostly 60 fps with RT on.
Dead Cells saves every step. In a game like this there is no reason not to. If you die, the fact you died is saved. No save scumming.
Mixing stimulants and depressants is a bad idea.
Sony have started removing access to old games. They will remove your access to PS4 games. You are stunningly shortsighted. You are going to bat for a multibillion dollar corporation that could easily afford to allow people to continue enjoying the older consoles and games. They have shown that they do not care about…
I’d consider getting a headset if it worked for everything PC, PS5 and Xbox.
You realise you are arguing against yourself here right? But ultimately this is not really the point. This conversation started about the fact that Sony has been switching off servers, and physical media will stop working. The point is Sony is anti consumer.
I thought it was going to kill it for me with VII. Then I played the demo and it was brilliant. Then I played the full game and it was even better.
To suggest hardware is the only thing that makes BC work is laughable. It is also the operating system. I can run Linux on my PC built without Linux based versions of games I cannot run the same game. MS went with the same kernel for the Series, but Sony went with a whole new operating system. You only have to look…
I never said MS were our friends, but they are behaving in a more consumer friendly fashion. I would like to know where you got your crystal ball from, as I you seem very sure Sony will maintain backwards compatibility, despite what the past has shown us. Sony only bothered BC this gen due to MS doing it. Sony never…
You still aren’t paying attention. Some games won’t patch. Already some games (MGS4) are essentially unplayable if you have the disc version and it wasn’t already installed. Further more how long do you think it will be before they shut the servers off entirely? Sony aren’t your friend, they will take your money but…
You haven‘t been paying attention have you? https://kotaku.com/sony-closing-playstation-store-on-ps3-vita-and-psp-th-1846575103#:~:text=Sony%20has%20confirmed%20today%20that,be%20closing%20on%20July%202.&text=While%20the%20stores%20will%20be,own%20after%20the%20shutdown%20date.
You can test it yourself, but there are also videos on teh interwebs of people taking out the CMOS battery and disconnecting their PS4 from the network. It won’t play physical media, let alone digital stuff.
“Hateful speech is something that needs to be educated and fought, not toggled on a settings screen.” Exactly. I wonder how much research money was put into this? Education is the only way we should spend money on tackling racism.
So can Anthem, the moment to moment gun play was amazing and if you ever had the chance to play with a well matched team you got to see how the powers interacted as Bioware intended. Which quite frankly only ever happened once to me but when it did, it suddenly all made sense. Still an empty game though and wasted…
If I have paid money to play something and a cheater ruins that experience, is that not theft? Also consider the losses incurred by the publisher having to fight against this. While most publishers are probably worse than a cheat company, let's not give them any real excuse to raise game prices. However I do agree…
As someone that owns a PC with PCIE 3 M.2 drives and a PS5, the loading time difference is negligible. Yes the PS5 loads really fast, but so does my PC. In the same game I am looking about a second or two difference, sometimes in favour of the PC. Maybe it is the 32 GB of RAM it doesn’t have to share with the GPU. Ther…
Discord + stockinformer. Bought mine from Amazon, Stockinformer told me about 2 - 3 minutes ahead of time that stock would drop, so I was there on F5, took about 5 minutes to buy one.
Why preorder? What do you get from that?
I expect better of Kotaku than the rather lame “you don’t have to” argument.
