I love the later DS9 and First Contact “grey shoulder” uniforms, but the ones from TNG (S3-S7 and Voyager are also great I think.
The grey shoulder uniforms were the best, and unlike all of the other TNG-era uniforms actually felt like something other than a unitard or pajamas (admittedly, they felt a bit like working overalls, which I kind of liked)
Dude, it didn’t start with Enterprise.
On the whole I think I would be less annoyed with the ST if they’d had entirely new designs. Like why would the First Order still be flying around in Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters? Wouldn’t the state of the art have evolved somewhat over the last thirty years or so?
Plus, “will this sell toys?” Bad movies don’t move toys, especially the high-end pricey ones.
In retrospect, the most telling line about the production of The Force Awakens was J.J. Abrams saying that during production, he would frequently stop and ask himself “Is this delightful?” I think that tidbit tells us everything we need to know about why the movies were the way they were, and why they failed at any…
The overall impression I get is that there was no plan for the ST. Abrams, Kasdan, and Kennedy didn’t really care about the wider universe, they just wanted to make an old-fashioned Star Wars movie that didn’t remind people of the prequels. Worldbuilding was never part of the plan.

IF this is true, this explains a LOT of the plot shenanigans.
Jesus Christ. If the internet had been around for the first Star Wars they never would have made a second one.
Did she “look”? I heard “But you’re nothing like him.” Either way, though it’s possible the real Elliot’s face doesn’t look like the Mastermind’s, that would contradict last week, where we view things from real Elliot’s time-loop perspective and he was still played by Rami Malek.
I still want to see the real Elliot!! And I’m with you, Alex. What happened to Wellick??
Round of applause for Mr Robot for crafting an amazing ending in a year that’s had some very notable misses when it comes to writing conclusions.
Well, I warned you. Here’s the rant:
He never should have been hated in the first place. It says more about the fans than it does him.
Let’s be honest. The people in this Galaxy created robot slaves and then gave them self-awareness and personalities. Their morality is a little off. I don’t think they make the distinction between people and pets.
No disagreement on any of the rankings here, but why isn’t this scale named after Wedge Antilles?
There should be a story set after ROTJ about Han having to fend off vengeful siblings Wratho, Envyo, Prido, Slotho, Glutto, and Lusto. Watch out for that last one.
