I read several of the books in a row a while back. I came to the conclusion that Lee Childs (a Brit who apparently never served in the military) knows little about the US and less about the military.

More like the people who made "Friday the Thirteenth" after watching "Halloween" … and all they understood how to recreate about that film was the gore.
