One thing I've yet to notice is all the "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" crowd jumping to his defense. I guess I have more friends who are more like Phil Robertson* than Donald Sterling.

(* someone who appears to not have a lot of money)

Nailed it.

Hey look, y'all found Tabata.

463 comments? He'll be back. With an investor.

Was wondering why it took this long for someone to post that.

You phrased everything about as well as I've seen anyone who has discussed this. Well said.

Yup. He's uninsured. And I 100% agree that this should become a cautionary tale. They money they are raising is a very nice gesture, but... no, I won't say anything else.

Agreed. But what we should really be talking about is "You should have insurance if you're a competition-level athlete." Instead it's "CROSSFIT WILL KILL YOU SEE!"

In most, if not all Crossfit gyms, there is a "prescribed" workout and a "scaled" version of it (usually in the form of lighter weights and different movements) but I agree, most people end up getting caught up in the buzz and do more than they should. This is how I've seen people get hurt.

I've been fortunate(?) enough to experience good coaching and bad coaching. Sadly, the bad coaches outweigh the good. I love Crossfit and what it's done for me, but seriously, f*ck Greg Glassman. Money ruins everything.

Co-sign. Crossfit is certainly high-risk, but there's no more or less the opportunity for a freak accident for someone who follows proper form and technique like this guy, compared to a frat boy cracking his skull on the hardwood playing some rec-league hoops. The main talking point from this story should be: GET

I won't white-knight for Crossfit(TM) but I will say this: Crossfit in general has brought a positive change in my life that I couldn't find found elsewhere. With that said, there are legitimate complaints about the "training" that goes on in some "boxes" around the country. Crossfit has boomed in popularity, and with

This > ALL. As a matter of fact, I'm still laughing.

Oh yeah? I dig holes in the ground!

You're right. At a base level, you cut out everything processed, and that includes grains but dairy is "permitted" depending on the source and your tolerance (Grassmilk ftw) but the fact remains is that the "diet" has a trendy a name and everyone's losing their shit. I made the change 3 years ago and lots of minor

The point; you've missed it.

I also suspected tension migraines. I've been brought to my knees by them before.

This wasn't even my favorite Stafford-micd-up-drive; This was.

Co-signed on Deza's comment. Some of his riffs on his co-workers are borderline uncomfortable. A great documentary on top of that as well.

Of course it's a white dude.
