100% this, there was normally a sign there anyway to he would have hit that instead.

Gold Star Auto in Toledo”

I cannot believe I’m siding with Jeremy Clarkson in a controversy like this. Even if the test was “faked”, the issue with the Roadster’s charging and range was objective and real, and thus the review did its job by demonstrating those issues. The lawsuit was thrown out for a reason. I agree that top gear’s reviews

He now operates in an echo chamber of his own voices and thoughts with delightful idiots happy to sit down with him and amplify the echo.

He’s on there as he’s flogging his new book and re-formed podcast after dropping Edward Lovett.

I still cringe when people (including news outlets and journalists who should know better) continue to perpetuate the myth that Musk is a founder of Tesla.

Clarkson may be full of piss and vinegar and say random awful shit, but he doesn’t lie about this type of stuff. Plus, the real guy in charge- Andy Wilman- is unbelievably by the book in this regard, and honestly probably had final say.

It’s real weird to for two people to confidently pontificate

Rogan said Clarkson and the BBC did “Elon [Musk] dirtier than anybody ever did” with their review of the Tesla.

In the review, Clarkson commented on the poor range of the car, which lasted just 55 miles on a race track, and claimed that it took an eye-watering 16 hours to top the battery up once again.”

Coincidence or not: Chris Harris and one of his Top Gear co-hosts signed to produce a “Road Trip” series earlier in 2024.... I bet he’s just looking for some media spotlight ahead of their return... what better way to get attention than to start a feud with Clarkson, since they appear to be about to rip-off TGT...

Man, Rogan just continues to remind us that his standup comedy was really where he peaked in terms of content quality. Which is not saying much.

It’s real weird to for two people to confidently pontificate about an event that happened a decade and a half ago, which neither of them witnessed, on a TV show that neither of them were involved with at the time.

I do like most of these wheel designs, though they seem like they would be a PITA to clean with all that intricacy.

I’m certain Mr. Aquilino was driving through one of the densest cities on the planet as a good boy scout should, not repeatedly revving it in slow moving traffic like some douchecanoe.

I’d LOVE to see Harley riders start getting fined.  But selective enforcement...

Sleeping babies are usually pretty quiet, awake babies can be outrageously noisy.

I think that it is ok for neighborhoods/ cities to want a peaceful environment. I don’t think that “unmodified” vehicles should be exempt from sound enforcement you should be able to short shift/keep the vehicle in a higher gear to keep the RPMs down. There is a difference between driving a loud car and being

Yeah, I’d like to know that too. My guess, based on it being Texas, is that he was awarded a plaque from the city or something.

I have MDD.
