Sometimes they do it just to be sheer dicks. On a recent drive to another state I watched a young couple (maybe in their 20's) block the left lane and pace the cars on the right to keep people from passing. They would intentionally slow down enough so someone would try and pass by them in the right lane only to speed

It’s just simply not worth it. We see how it ended in this instance, and we’ve now seen multiple instances of people pulling guns. It’s just not worth it. It’s to the point where if I see two people aggressively driving and clearly antagonizing one another, I get as far away as I can for fear of gunfire erupting.

I don't think people are comparing. Raptor? Asshole. Honda? Asshole. Guy cheering for someone getting hurt? Asshole.

The person driving the Raptor appears to be an asshole who overreacts to other people’s aggressive driving.

In my experience, a disproportionately high number of douchebags buy Raptors. I believe that is enough to explain the behavior.

It’s unclear if the two had had a prior run-in on the road, or if the truck driver simply didn’t want the sedan getting ahead.

if people are cheering when you wreck a car you are either in stock car racing or have been a huge douche nozzle in traffic.

I hate saying this - but had this been an attractive white girl, this would be splashed across the national news, teams of volunteers would have been out searching this last month, and we’d have serious people, asking serous questions about what happened.

Seriously, I’m all for hating on billionaries, but as billionaire yachts go, this is pretty cool.

Even though I could never afford it (obviously) I think this is ridiculously awesome. I feel like Jalopnik currently has the biggest disconnect in terms of how writers see their takes being received, and what their actual reading audience is. Most of us like to see cool stuff, especially if it was repurposed like this.

So they’re repurposing a ship that would otherwise be dismantled in an environmentally friendly manner, and your take is it’s bad, just because it’s for a billionaire?

Here’s another thought from the wrench-turner.

Just pony up for the motor.  You really won’t buy that nice of a truck for 15 grand, and in this market, I’m not sure what a really late model DEAD truck would fetch.

So the owner is an idiot who didn’t do the maintenance he was supposed to and is lamely trying to get public sympathy in the hopes he’ll get a new engine out of it.

An important bit of information we need to know is whether the oil light was a service reminder, or status indicator. If the light was a “service soon” it’s one thing, but if it was indicating low pressure or levels...thats another.

he may have said “scrap” to keep the story short and simple, but i wouldnt be surprised if the dealer maybe offered the guy a few bucks to walk away from it. then they take it, slap a new motor in there and sell it...

So he is going to scrap a $30K truck because he can’t afford a $15K repair? Something doesn’t smell right about this story.

I wasn’t the only one, even had to google it to confirm:

Does anybody proof these before they are published?  That last paragraph, as well as redhead/redbird error is pretty bad guys.....

Exactly. Mid 2000s Top Gear was such a good watch for everyone, I got my ex-gf and her two sisters eagerly awaiting sunday’s new premier. They gave 0 fucks about cars.

Certainly looks cool for a kids show and Id gladly give it a whirl for my daughters but its a bit of a sell to compare to Top Gear in its prime.
