1998 is well past the bubble era in Japan. This car was first unveiled in concept form in 1993, which itself is after the bubble burst. 

It’s not all doom and gloom - some manufacturers clearly didn’t care before but are now starting to pay attention.

I bought one a year ago. Best purchase I’ve ever made.
