How did the Lotus Seven not make the list? 1958, it cost 1,100 pounds. Was a two seater convertable. 0-60 times in the low 7's (in the 60's). Come on! This is the DEFINITION of an entry level sports car.

I was driving up to the mountain in my buddy's F-150 at around 730 at night, getting a bit dark. The bed was fully loaded with furniture we were going to unload @ his cabin. Going about 130 km/h when a flash of brown filled the winshield then an audible thump on the front right wheel.

Those cars are absolute crap. I was there last year, all that remains are the shells of the cars. Interiors are often lawn chairs, engines are all Korean or Russian. Literally the only thing that is original is the bodywork, which has been repared with a hammer and some bondo. Not preserved at all...
