Well, things are always now pitched to "twenty-somethings AND thirty-somethings." So you're not dead yet.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'll watch Stewart without Colbert … I know it's supposed to go the other way around, but I always figured if I was gonna watch Colbert, might as well hit the couch a half hour earlier.

Completely agree. I too remember Colbert debuting when I was in college. It was really fun starting out but the amazing thing was how much better it got and how quickly. I guess I didn't expect it would end so soon, but I guess it will have been ten years.

So I'm really sad to see this happen, because I love the Colbert Report and it's not going to be the same without it.

NOOOO!!!

I'm sure there'll be a post up about this soon but supposedly Stephen Colbert is CBS' top choice to replace Letterman and he's amenable.

Yes! I remembered that for awhile and kept thinking I was crazy till I went back and watched it. Even in that though she didn't actually have any lines — she was just in the background.

Well she does live in New Zealand.

I would actually love to see more WWI movies. I get why WWII movies are more popular — within historical memory, larger US role, clearer moral lines. But the absence of these things is why I would love to see more WWI films. We're well due for a Saving Private Ryan or Stalingrad type look at the trenches, or some dark

Ha! Seriously?!

Agreed. It's funny - I dislike the way that the show has gotten more broadly cartoony and retready-y, yet somehow I've enjoyed Season 6 more than Season 5 (at least the back half of Season 5). Somehow the show just seems funnier, whereas it seemed merely pleasant last season.

Well, Texas being plurality Catholic makes sense, when you consider that Hispanics are almost entirely Catholic (at least nominally).

I love Colbert.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Looks Fantastic. Hopefully it lives up to that preview.

Watching these clips, I just realized that - with some bangs - Sean Hayes could be the perfect choice to play John Edwards.

I mean, I can see the logic behind the move. Everything at 10pm on Thursday has bombed, and there's no way they're going to again sacrifice a new show in that spot. Parenthood has an established audience and it seems likely it'll at least do better than the sub-1s everything else got in that spot.

The only new comedies I'm genuinely interested in here are About a Boy and - if it gets picked up (still reportedly in contention), Greg Daniels' Craig Robinson show. The Michael J. Fox Show and Family Guide both look okay.

Hm… that's a tad surprising. I figured they'd renew it since it's good to have a few backups for when something inevitably bombs, and it could have paired well with the Michael J. Fox comedy. The show also had some potential, though it never really lived up to it.

Well, I wouldn't say it was amazing or anything. But I found it pretty enjoyable and the cast had good chemistry. It had clear potential, though - that was the main thing.

In other news, Amy Poehler is dating Nick Kroll.
