With Parks I just think of the talking heads as the characters breaking the 4th wall, nothing more.

It's really interesting how different the early few episodes of 30 Rock are. I was rewatching S1 recently, and it's pretty striking. There's the relative lack of wacky and surreal elements. Russo Brothers are involved with Animal Practice.

Why are they even giving The Neighbors the post-MF spot? The other two – though they didn't look great – didn't look embarrassingly bad. (Esp. How to Live With Your Parents…)

Does anyone think Last Resort might be controversial? I mean it looks like an enjoyable thriller, but it's not going to piss people off will it?

It was the number 2 comedy on the network – its just that that was entirely dependent on the MF lead-in.

I suspect Voice lead-ins can sustain Go On for at least a half-season, but I'd be a lot more worried for The New Normal.

I feel like either ABC or NBC (probably the former) would be better off moving their comedy block to 8 and doing the results show at 9.

This strikes me as a giant bloodbath – all three are trying comedy blocks that appeal to the same viewers. I love Happy Endings, enjoy New Girl, am looking forward to The Mindy Project, and I'm even fairly interested in Go On. But I could see all of them crashing.

Honestly, the only two that look clearly bad are Guys With Kids and 1600 Penn. None of the preview clips of the rest blew me away, but I'd be pretty hesitant to judge a show by minute-long clips from a pilot. They could become good.

The thing is, Parks isn't going to do much better at 9:30, particularly after a crashing Office. It might do slightly better than 30 Rock at 8, and I don't really think NBC cares that much about Parks' ratings at this point. They're clearly aiming for syndication, and it'll probably get a sixth season regardless.

This sounds like a summer burnoff, a la "Crusoe" or "The Philanthropist."

Well, they're still producing it, so at least if it's a hit the studio will be making money.

I have never, ever, ever, EVER seen a network so hell bent on getting rid of a show like NBC is doing with Community.
You know, if they really wanted to kill it they could've just, erm, cancelled it.

Actually scratch that – after seeing the preview clip, 1600 Penn looks Outsourced-bad.

Nah – Guys With Kids is the one that looks likely to get pulled within 4 episodes.

Don't most people assume next season will be the last one anyway? I really don't see what's so offensive about the move. It's not a widely accessible show, it's not going to grow a big audience at this point, and it's probably the last season.

Huh – Next Caller even has Jeffrey Tambor.
