But there was that great meta joke in there – Ann's comment about how she and Tom never made any sense.

I thought this 30 Rock live show was way better than last year's, because they realized what works best live is actual sketch comedy.

I do think Heisler is right that the humor is more situational now and less surprising. So that's part of it. But overall I just think it's more uneven. I don't think there was a single dud throughout all of Seasons 2 and 3, except maybe Sister City, whereas there are a number of episodes from this season that I'm not

Yeah! I'm guessing if there's a producer's cut that it'll indicate why he's there. But I almost hope there isn't any context. It's way funnier as a random, inexplicable shot.

So I've been watching early 30 Rock episodes on Netflix – I've only seen the back half of S1 – and man, the early episodes are WEIRD. The show is so different – the pacing is way slower, the musical cues are mostly absent, the humor is way less absurd, and even the filming style is really different – more

So where d'y'all see it? Canada?

I almost wondered if the fake-looking car backdrops were a deliberate choice to evoke old movies and tv shows – something which also fit the musical cues and the soundtrack.

He could have been born in a survivors camp after the war was over – the mother of a close friend of mine was born that way. (Although I suppose it's unlikely, as he'd have to be 21 or younger.)

They don't make Nutriyum for dogs… yet.

I thought Lowe's beef with the West Wing people was that he was supposed to be the star. Then Martin Sheen's role grew, and the supporting cast grew more important, and he wound up just being part of the ensemble, not the star.

Then the season order got cut (which apparently only happened in the fall of

There are rumors, but nothing concrete.

Galentine's Day is a fantastic episode, and one that people tend to overlook.

So no discussion about Tom's apartment?

Oh come on – he was a tad dull, but he never actually detracted from the show. And he arguably fit Season 2's vibe pretty well, as the show has gotten somewhat more cartoony and broad since then.

I caught the end - I'll watch the rest if people say it's good.

Since there hasn't been any announcement, my guess is that they'll leave it hanging – then we'll find out next season if he's leaving or if he's staying in Pawnee.

I actually think a lot of his subplots have been the weak links in a lot of episodes this season (although they've been a lot stronger since he broke up with Millicent and fell into this funk).

Yeah - great Parks, great Community - and an excellent 30 Rock.

You know what actually would be a great Thursday night lineup?
