Local semi-fancy burger restaurant has a burger topped with barbeque brisket and smoked gouda (along with a tomato-based sauce). Delicious.

We would have loved her regardless. But Persephone also has the whole creepy rape thing going on. I think that's the weirdest part.

Big McLargehuge!

My brother considered Persephone for my niece. I'm glad he chose otherwise, and I didn't have to disown him.

My friend used to bring her mom's cigarettes to work with her so she could pretend she needed a smoking break.

Thanks for the passage!

I used to have a Star Wars universe encyclopedia (before the prequels) that said Uncle Owen was Obi-Wan's brother. Apparently this comes from the the EU.

A Star Wars universe encyclopedia I got before the prequels said that Uncle Owen was Obi-Wan's brother. Aparantly this was in the novelization of RotJ?

Neither did I. It was all so much BS. Especially since he was arguing that I wasn't empathizing with gross old men whom I told to stop following a teenager (amongst other situations I described). :/

"Men and women in the Western world are equal. I guess I understand being a feminist in the developing world, but there's no need for it here."

Patriarchy and feminism. Sometimes I feel like we're fighting a losing battle when so many refuse to understand what even these words mean.

After I posted that street harassment was about power, not just the attractiveness of the woman in question (I am not an attractive woman), guy said I was not thinking about how the men doing this are doing it for different reasons (not empathizing enough with them, I guess). He said my response was just as ridiculous

Loved Endeavor! Can't wait for the next series. That cliffhanger!

That's a really good point.

Sure thing. :)

The Fine Brothers have four "React" series on YouTube: Kids React, Teens React, YouTubers React, and Elders React. (My point is, this is the format they use for all their demographic videos. The title cards are different for each, though.)

It makes me incredibly worried and disappointed that 92% of Congress is Christian. (I say that as a Christian. We need Congress to reflect our pluralistic society.)

Whenever I hear the name Phyllis I think of this madrigal by John Farmer. Phyllis Schafley probably wouldn't appreciate the double entendre.

Dun dun duuuunnnnnn!

Doctor Who?!?!?!?! *gasp!
