A used car is less than a different new car? Shocking. 

As soon as you compare new vs used, all bets are off. You want a hatchback that can haul the mail in addition to groceries?

jalopknik always talks like a 30,000 used car is like a 30,000 new car when in reality new cars are valued much higher in the eyes of the bank
it is much easier to get a loan for a new car which most people who have a 30,000 budget barely have

Tom, you of all people should know the rabbit-hole fallacy of comparing the price of new cars to used cars. What about a Mustang GT, or a 10 year-old Corvette? Or a 30 year-old Toyota Supra?

I was buying a CPO Volvo XC90 and wanted to but a tow-hitch receiver on the back for one of those mounted bike racks. I’m not towing anything so I don’t need any wiring, but the Volvo dealer quoted me like $1300 to have this installed! Are there any cheaper alternatives?

The headlights don’t “have GPS.” They are just using the GPS system already found in the car. It’s not like the GPS and computer unit used to control the headlights are actually stored in the headlight unit. 

I wish I wasn’t a brand snub because everytime I drive a Mazda, I walk away impressed with the driving dynamics.

Sorry, but if the cheaper car is faster, quicker, lighter, more advanced, longer range, then brand alone is nowhere near enough to justify the cost of the brand of Porsche
