I just removed my superdrive and replaced it with an SSD (1st gen unibody macbook). Stores all my apps and Lion, while a 500 gb normal drive stores any media. I like the setup thus far, and would totally recommend it. Of course I'd love to have pure SSD, but price and capacity held me back.
