Now I kinda wish Lindelof and Cuse had killed off Jack Shepard in the pilot, like they had written in the first place to see if it would garner the same type of reaction. Just a note, I remember when some RED guys came to USC to talk about their cameras...and one of them said that if a film were shot in entirely in 4K, there would be no screens today which could fit that native resolution. It would be like 3 or 4 times the size of an IMAX screen or something.

I would have thought that the auto-loading system would be constrained by the amount of space within a tank cabin. But the time element also makes a ton of sense to me, and its kind of badass that a crewman would be faster than a machine!
