Titanfall kinda had a story. But you could really only pick up on it if you were playing the maps in a particular order. That said, Titanfall 2's story was excellent.

I’ve got zero interest, personally. I played the CoD games for the story. They always came across as interactive techno-thrillers. I even enjoyed the parts where you play someone like a C-130 gunner, SR-71 pilot, or that hapless space station astronaut in MW3(?).
