LOVE Last Action Hero; to this day I can't figure out 'what's wrong' with it (my theory is too many people unable to deal with the premise (electrolyte deficiency…) Maybe people couldn't deal with Arnold poking fun. Maybe the barrage of hype. So. Much. Hype. So much fun.
I'm a sucker for 'jump into the movie' movies -

I remember that; it was perfect. Those were the days..

To Sir, With Love was the best song they could come up with to do?
"Those schoolgirl days of telling tales and biting nails are gone…But how do you thank someone, who has taken you from crayons to perfume?"
I admire the sincerity of their feelings, and it was a sweet gesture, but for me really embarassing.
(Great movie,

We listen at work each week; it seems to be the only part of the Saturday schedule that doesn't deal with people talking about death.

Although the best part of the show was learning Apple had toyed with the idea of making the iPhone apple shaped.

I see your Burbs and raise you a Bonfire of the Vanities.

Hanks should host every week.
Hanks should do EVERYTHING every week.
And perhaps run this country every day. He is The Hanks.

I read and adored the books when they first came out, but I have to say I found the show too much of a downer to watch. Almost made it through this first episode but I found no charm to it (except for the nice lady across the street,) only an off-putting malevolence I suppose was easier to take in book form than film.

Fell asleep 10 minutes in but woke up every so often. And kept falling back asleep. Think I'll pass up OnDemanding it.

And THIS is why we keep watching; the hope that a show like last night's will occur. A round of Sonic Kool-Aid for the house, on my tab please.

I saw a movie once where a girl killed a powerful witch by throwing a bucket of water at her. Turns out, all the witch's scary minions were REALLY happy about it. I wonder if something like that's gonna happen here.
Also there was a not-very-ferocious lion.

I recently saw the Paley Center interview with Darabont and some of the cast, sometime after (during?) season 1. The excitement was fun (Darabont's a crazy man!) but so, so sad. Because they don't know…
(it's on Amazon Prime I think.)

Mr. Peepers and Mango are +2 funny things than Jimmy Fallon has done.
I want a special episode of The Walking Dead where Johnny Carson rises from the grave and eats Jimmy Fallon in the middle of taping his show.
And then throws him up because of the immediate over-inebriation from eating Jimmy Fallon.

I loved Dana Carvey but I cringe now. I SO wanted him to be…. what's the right word? Really successful? Really big? I'm not sure what, but I was always rooting for him to be…. that. And he didn't in the end.*
His Nerdist interview was really pleasant and fun, though, and had a great hanging-with-McCartney story to

If given the chance, yes.

Just like in the movie!

Hardwick said it's not available commercially. I don't remember the name of the band, it's not a name anyone will remember outside of their friends and family, I think.

The preview of next week was literally longer than a few of the segments of the actual show. I don't tend to be annoyed by commercials but the frequency really did tonight's show a disservice. Sadly, I think AMC no doubt has a differing opinion.
On the other hand, THE JAM!

I always get a Pacino-in-Devils-Advocate vibe from him.

Guess I'm just grouchy because…. I miss the Alexandrians. I don't know these Negan people and I don't really care about them. I want to see how the Ricksters are doing.
