So much this. When I moved from NH to Florida, it was a huge wake up call for me. Shit I'd never heard of, never mind seen were suddenly in my face every day. I realized racism wasn't as much a thing of the past as I'd been brought up to think.

My wife and I have this convo all the time. She is trans and transitioned at work 9 months ago. Since then she is constantly being touched by male customers and co-workers alike ( said coworkers all knew her pre transition). She gets pawed at all day every day. It really creeps her out as she was never ever touched…

This victim shaming tone isn't cool. Those who were abused will come forward if and when they are ready, not because you want them to. It's so much harder for men to admit to sexual abuse.

You have no idea. I've had my leg slashed by a and ice skate blade ( truly on accident, me and another girl collided practicing jumps). I had a huge gash on my thigh and could continue my ice time. The shit hurts like a mofo. Those blades don't play.

This made me laugh way harder than it should have as a former skater.

Another skater and I collided during practice ( we must have been in each others blind spots it was a looking time ago) and her blade caught my thigh and slashed me pretty good. That shit hurt like hell and I couldn't finish my practice time. Those blades are no joke. Fuck her if she did that shit on purpose.
