No worries, the 458 was a massive step up from the 430, which wasn’t as cool as the 360 anyway...

No problem. I was completely on board with your idea, because I don’t watch the races until Sunday afternoon anyway. Considering Jalopnik headlines spoil races hours after they happen, there is no way I’m waiting two days...

You need the pro version, because the cheap one makes you wait two days before you can watch the race. So it’s not just live, it’s “same day” which nukes the jammies/cheerios idea.

A long, long time ago I hacked a dos card (essentially a pc on an expansion card) into an old Macintosh Quadra 700. This was not a trivial mod, it involved a radial arm saw at one point. But when I was done, I had a working Mac with a working PC Card inside I could use to play dos games on.

This is brilliant marketing. Take something already built and amortized, and tweak it slightly to no longer comply with the rules but be much faster, and then showoff how fast the car you engineered REALLY is. Every time you ask about the lap record at a major track, it’s a porsche. 20 years later will anyone care it

You should try watching the races for starters. Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari are all capable of winning races. Kimi is driving better than he has in years, Vettel is sublime, Ricciardo is an amazing racer, Verstappen is better than his dad ever was already, Hamilton is a four time champ for a reason and the best

I’m not a fan of the paint scheme either ;-)

But wait, I thought if we banned guns all of our problems would be solved. Maybe, just maybe, the weapon of choice isn’t the real issue here...

I’m six four and have zero issues riding in my friend’s fusion. Car is comfortable and I have plenty of room. It also seems plenty quick and is a pretty nice car.

Let me be clear, I didn’t say the cars are ruined. I said what makes them special is ruined. What makes them more special than any other 800HP supercar is that they are a time capsule of the absolute best that could be done in the 1980's.

THIS. This car cannot be made better. What is special about it is that it was a snapshot of the best technology driven car money could buy in the late 80's. Total group B madness sold for the street in extremely low numbers.

I’m kinda in awe of how bad this thing looks despite having only 800 miles on it. CP at 1/10th the price.

BMW has one of the most recognizable features of any brand and they want to go away from it? Everyone else is looking to stand out like the BMW grill. Acura wanted a trademark look so bad they stuck with the ridiculous beak for years.

Clean it up and toss it on Bring a Trailer. It’s rare and unusual and that’s where you will get the most money for it.

A few more:

Saw this beauty in Santa Monica California. I imagine that the cross country drive was amazing in this car. And it looks gorgeous in brown!

Definitely not a Lancaster county vehicle. Way too fancy. And green...

Does hay count as an alternative fuel vehicle?

This, on the other hand. Legit street parked unicorn. IIRC this is also a W8, the only “real” production vector. Three speed automatic :-)

While rare, it’s clearly a car show or something. Doesn’t really qualify as street parked.
