I get annoyed at so much of my reading being political, but this article was directly related to cars, not thinly. It was also well written and balanced. On the whole, very good work on an important auto related topic of North American vehicle production. It was distinctly lacking the dismissive of everything trump

I lived in the LA area for 29 years. Make no mistake: USC and UCLA will both outdraw the Chargers for as long as they stay in LA. No contest.

A Jaguar XJ tops out around $40k from carmax, leaving room for the all important Doug-Demuro-Special warranty. This is an amazing car that is not the same thing everyone else has.

I was with you until the made in china bit. Look, we already know it’s made in croatia from old tank parts and, apparently, valiant parts etc. It may not seem like the mopar we know, but them’s the facts!

I don’t like Nintendo. I have never owned a Nintendo console. I don’t find their characters interesting or appealing and I have no fond memories of anything Nintendo.

That’s what Samsung calls innovation, which is why they do best when they just copy Apple...

You know, when I was a kid, we made a big deal in school of saying merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah because we wanted to show respect to people, even ones who celebrated holidays we did not. And then we had Santa come to school or whatever.

Well stated.

Long, slow whistle.

Saab owners are smart and tenacious. They love Saab irrationally and would do anything to see it win. Has to be Saab.

Really? Crap. I’ve always wanted an e24 M6. Not to be I guess.

That’s easy: 320i. Or a 325es.

The 325is is a classic BMW. The car to have if you want amazing performance without the “look at me” body kit of the M3. This is the enthusiasts choice for the discerning BMW owner who wants an amazing driver’s car at a good price.

You know what would make this car run better? A Turbo encabulator.

Weirdly that could work. It provides an incentive for city dwellers (those who are best suited to electric cars anyway) to have an electric car: less traffic to deal with.

The Porsche speaker costs $127,337 after you add all the options including a sticker instead of a metal emblem ($500), the “Porsche Candy Apple Red” color ($2433) and the manual Bluetooth connection rather than automatic ($12,378), an option expected to have a very low take rate.

This was a step down after a stellar episode four. Two was the low point, three improved over 1, 4 was awesome in every way and this felt like seasons 3-5 of the Top Gear. Good, not great. Last week was great.

And that’s what makes cars fun. If we all liked the exact same thing there would only need to be one brand and one car :-)

Finally someone else acknowledges that the 488 is not pretty. The “458 with a body kit” comment below is spot on. I think in time the 488 will be unloved like the 430.
