I was gonna be glib and just say season 1 and 2 of Fargo but the most egregious sin is when he tries to rework one of the most indelible moments in cinema, and maybe modern storytelling as a whole - the “look in your heart” scene from Miller’s Crossing but with none of the power and emotion.
