Dubs are useless. You can’t appreciate the acting of the actual actors using a dub. You obviously need a very good translator for the subtitles but they aren’t also required to act which makes the original sound plus quality text translation the superior format.

Pretty easy to do. Black people getting jobs denied to them is good and jokes are jokes.

It is. The sequel is actually really fun in the second half when it turns into a haunted house movie but with Dinosaurs as the bad guys.

Making the subtext of the original the text of the sequel isn’t interesting or tackling with the original text it’s just bashing people over the head with obviousness.

But of course a complete embracing of sentimentality is what drives Joel (and Ellie's acceptance at the end).
