Man, I feel like I’m in crazytown. When I read the review I was sure the comments were going to be full of people talking about how Donna misread that final scene.

I’d forgotten, or possibly never noticed, that she’s played by Cristin Milioti (the Mother in HIMYM).
For the SNES, I say “ess-ness”.
I don’t love all those episodes, but you got the three that really stood out to me as missing from the article:
I don’t much care for the Captain Sunshine episode (you already have a pedophile character: do you really need to make a whole episode around inadvertent molestation double-entendres?), but that was definitely my favorite part of it.
Was Season 3 when it got all tangled up in the Orb, the founding of the Guild and a complicated series of OSI double-crosses/triple agent gambits? Yeah, those arcs were not much fun, and I’m really glad they got it out of their system.
That’s not the issue here. It’s about using “Democrat” in an adjective-like way (I forget the correct linguistic term), instead of the more correct “Democratic”.
They wouldn’t have to sue them to destroy their careers in ways that would go under the public radar.
They’re adapting the book quite faithfully, so don’t worry: there will definitely be resolution.
The suckling piglets were extremely tame in this rendition. In the book, that was the most nightmarish scene to me – a mother devoured alive by her children – more so than any of the human deaths or mutilations.
That is absolute nonsense. For example, it has been estimated based on genetic data that most Native Americans are primarily descended from only about 70 original settlers (though there were probably also later waves of immigration).
I’m fully prepared to assume that all many of the people who (allegedly) booed him knew about the Armstrong scandal was: (1) that he cheated his whole career, (2) that he’d been denying it for years, starring in commercials bragging about how he was clean, (3) that they’d heard he was kind of an asshole.
If he doesn't tell her about the waters of his home world, I'm not interested.
I didn’t think the movie terrible, to be honest; just mediocre and very, very non-essential.
So you disagree with it. I think it was right on the money. My opinion cancels out yours. Who cares?
The Quick Lunch bar also routinely beats Kit Kat in taste tests.
You’ve reduced the varied opinions and reactions of the public as a whole into one mass of barely-articulate resentment. You presume to know and speak for “the people”, ascribing them views that have little to do with overall opinion trends and everything to do with what you believe, while dismissing anyone who…
I haven’t seen either of the movies, but I thoroughly enjoyed this article. Nice one, Caroline!
That seems like a safe assumption.
Being a satirist has nothing to do with being objective. Also, Colbert definitely held Obama to account from time to time – whether he did so sufficiently or on the right issues is a subjective question.
