I think she’s moved towards “strobing”. The way I understand it is that they use illuminating makeup to mimic where the light hits the planes of your face. It’s a move away from contouring, in that you’re not creating depth.

I think she was just trying to accentuate her cheekbones (hence they’re quite light), but overdid it with the bronzer underneath. It’s just a LOT of make up.

I know contouring is the rationale behind the white powder, but I don’t understand what this particular strategy of application was supposed to look like. I don’t wear make-up so these techniques are mysteries to me. Do you know what she was going for?

That’s a good point, dude! My ex and I kept our mugshots of each other when we got arrested together because the arrest was totally ridiculous and it was hilarious.

I may be wrong, but I think this kind of backlash is reserved mostly for gay men. I’ve heard of these same types of baseless accusations levelled against other gay fathers who aren’t all-around bad people like Hilton.
