I’ve been around the block on this one a few times between major wide corporate 360 reviews, professional mentoring and on the small scale with my peers in my current company of 14 people and even as a pastor. I have a few questions I ask myself when offering feedback:

Totally read that as “Rachel Ray” and was deep into a WTF before I read it again.

The entertainment industry is an odd beast. Sex is the currency they trade to get what they want/need from each other. The majority of these folks sleep around, mostly because anybody they want is readily available once they pass a certain threshold of success, and they feel no need to turn anyone down, and Dog forbid

You are an idiot

For my daughter I had a twice rule. She had to try everything two separate times and if she still didn't like it then she doesn't have to eat it. I came from the clean your plate household for a couple of years and then I rebelled and ate nothing but pb&j, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti with butter and Parmesan

I figured out how I managed to go from hating asparagus to loving it. My mom loved it, and served it to me once and I hated it, and then she used mom magic: she never served it to me again, but obviously enjoyed it when ever she made it for herself. Bites from mom’s plate always taste better, so I tried it every

I would disagree, actually. If a 5-year-old is showing a proclivity for logic and reason, that should absolutely be encouraged. God knows there’s enough dumb, nonsensical people in the world; we don’t need more of them.

Here’s the thing: if the kid knows they hate a thing, and can articulate the reasons why they hate that thing, they should not have to eat that thing just because everyone else is eating it. That’s bullshit. BUT they should have to have tried it first and be able to articulate why they don’t want it.

I wasn’t trying to suggest it was, only that reasoning it out with your parents is generally not an effective strategy for a 5 year old.

If he’s tried the sprouts and knows he doesn’t like them, he shouldn’t have to eat all of them. Let the poor kid have a little bodily autonomy. The trick to getting kids to try knew foods is to continuously offer them in low-pressure settings. Being a drill sergeant about it is just gonna make everyone dread mealtime.

I don’t know how it’s possible to be 25 and 9 years old at the same time.

And I’m looking at you, my twin-25-year-old-sister who literally has those exact diet preferences. It doesn’t matter where we are, she gets the same exact hamburger at every single restaurant we go to. Same goes for Mexican food (beef rolled tacos with cheese only), Italian food (spaghetti with meat sauce), and I

I’m on record as saying there’s a place in the discussion for people with all levels of food preferences, but now I see that no, there is not. For these specific people—the people who as adults (OSTENSIBLY) will only eat chicken nuggets and pizza—they are not allowed to take part in any conversation about food. Adults

You were wise beyond your years.

So a 5 year old is conditioned to think of her face and body as her best and most marketable qualities. Nothing can go wrong there!

I kinda feel like the mom’s not knowing a lot of seemingly important details is a problem... if you’re the adult in the situation, shouldn’t you have at least some understanding of the aspects and terms of these arrangements, and also of your child’s rights with regards to all other parties involved (agency, store,

My sister’s daughter is absolutely gorgeous. When she was a baby, people commented all the time that she should be a baby model. My sister thought about it and decided that she didn't think it was healthy to put her daughter into an industry that focuses on looks.

I was thinking the pay seemed low too. But if you consider the way sports or other extracurricular activities disrupt schedules without pay, it’s not so bad. The kid is enjoying it, so no big deal.

Actually, they can walk. You can’t force people to keep working for you. What the contract will do is bar you from working for another agency or whatever, or might require repaying advance payments, if any. But trust me, no agency wants to deal with a kid who doesn’t want to work anymore. Everyone knows you get

If you can’t afford to tip appropriately, you can’t afford to eat out.
