I liked the movie - it was well made. I agree with you completely, though; I'm not interested in watching a war movie again any time soon. War is fucking terrible. Leaving the theater, I felt shaken, you know? Served a little reality. Humans are terrible to each other, and that very real violence is incredibly

Yes! The pair have a really good grasp on certain things. If they can get a good script going, and a budget, it'd be great.

Yes! It's 'mixed reviews' are appropriate. What it does right (effects, atmosphere) it does RIGHT. Most of the other stuff (acting, pacing/script) you might have mixed feelings about. As long as your expectations aren't sky high, you'll probably enjoy it.

The violence is pretty indiscriminate, yeah. I enjoyed for that reason (it's so ludicrous and the villains are so awful that it naturally becomes funny) but I could see that being a turn-off.

Sup chums! Another week, another batch of movies! (and scattered, unprepared thoughts about them!)
Dunkirk - I liked it. I can understand why people wouldn't. My friend, who is all about Nolan, called it his worst movie. It looks great in 70mm. As I said in another thread earlier this week, I found Branaugh's staying

This is so good for my Minions fetish.

Don't forget Teahoney!

Shoulda called it 'Butz'.

Probably 'Starry Night' or 'The Path of Genius' by Wenzil Hablik, or 'Nocture in Black and Gold: The Falling Rocket' by James McNeill Whistler.

It's the hook from the lead single off my new album, 'Prolapse, Relapse, and Baps.'

I've got some 'luggage' that needs dumping IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

Spending a lot of time with music, lately (getting a set together). I also wrote a sort of horror-ish short story. I'm taking a break from a big project I was doing; it became unwieldy - I was getting lost in it. I'm thinking of starting a humor travel blog and trying to use that to get a job in writing.

I'm still doing full body bodyweight workouts three times a week in addition to 10k (or so) of cardio per day. I've also started doing additional exercise on my rest days. Nothing crazy - planks, push ups, etc. - I think I'll be travelling imminently and I need to figure out a routine I can reasonably commit to abroad.

I saw it the other day. It's pretty fun, yeah! Really great to look at - and a LOT happens in the movie. I didn't think DeHaan or Delevingne were bad, actually (I found their interactions funny/charming, honestly). DeHaan channels a sort of Keanu Reeves/surf douchebag thing, which is pretty great.

Yeah. It's a classic tactic. Dressing discrimination up as if was what occurring was only occurring for 'practical' reasons or some BS.
