New character designs aside, the environments and general art direction look fantastic. I wish the Wii U version didn't have to get mired in so much bloom lighting

I really enjoyed the DS version: it was basically more of what made Sonic Rush awesome (with a disappointing lack of Blaze), and the Wisps, while never evolving beyond once-off gimmick, are fun to use, and keep the flow going

Amy's grown to be a right badass in the Archie Comics vesion, too. At least as far as the Journey to the East story arc

I imagine the online component can be done just the same as local, with the screens of all players still visible on each other's screens. This does, of course, limit the multiplayer to 4 player only

    Now playing

This video gave me a much greater appreciation for matthewmatosis' critique:

Battlefield 4 on PS4 was the first BF game I've played, and I ended up really liking it, so I play a good bit. Maybe after 80 hours of play, I've met one person who talked through their mic. He was really good, a great chopper pilot, and he even apologized for ditching his helicopter while I was still in it, repairing

I get the feeling a lot of the features in Journey of Dreams that hurt the game as a whole are the result of how long it took to make the sequel; the endless hand-holding, the frequent (and equally endless) expository interruptions, the insanely chatty characters, they all become a bit more necessary when the original

I never understood why the 32X was considered such a stupid concept: the notion of adding on extra parts to beef up the core system is the PC master race's claim to fame. I still go back, time to time, to play Knuckles Chaotix and Afterburner.

There's no shortage of people I would kill or Kickstarters I would back to

I was a "bold" wormhole, but I felt more like a "dismissive jerk" wormhole

At this point, there's nothing to gain from defending himself. Even if the accuser recants, he's still going to be known as "that CAH guy who was accused of sexual assault." Sort of how it worked for Michael Jackson. Even when he did some proactive damage control, folks just gather 'round to criticize HOW he defended

I think the PS4's Share button is the worst offender in wasted/confusing controller real estate: features that would have been mapped to a button in that area are generally thrown onto the touch panel thing, which is too easy to accidentally hit. The Share button itself is only good for taking a screenshot 2 seconds

This was one of my favorite features of the Dreamcast; having only a Start button made for a nicely symmetrical design. I think the N64 controller would have been all the much worse off if it had a second button.

    1. Double Dash

Leila uses cute phrases—possibly a product of her young age and, therefore, her propensity to mispronounce words—while begging you to "pweeeeeease" sell her the pricey, difficult-to-catch beetles found on the island's trees and palm trees on the beachfront. Her swindling tactics are at their finest when she is trying

Fulton-ing is actaully harder now than it was in Peace Walker: in PW, you were able to fulton soldiers no matter where they were, indoors or out, but now it looks like there's a percentage chance of success based on weather and cover.

I do like the idea of fulton-ing supplies and vehicles though

You're going to lose that to a lightning bolt before the blue shell launches, guaranteed

If you exchange codes in the game itself, all data is traded, too. For strictly visual data, it's best to just generate the code in Mii Maker, use that code to add the Mii to your own collection in your Mii Maker, and then import that Mii into Tomodatchi Life

    Randnet forever!

Miis only. In fact, all the roles on the island are taken by Miis that you import, or are taken by generic figures with wooden blocks for heads.

I never found it too be too complicated, although I did find myself frequently wishing that there was an option to invert a screen with a QR code on it, so that the person scanning the code can just hover their 3DS' camera over a screen held flat, instead of having to link arms and get the two systems to spoon
