yes, i really dislike internet mob vigilantism too. The attacks usually end up outweighing whatever stupid thing the person did (and usually the bad thing in question was due to thoughtlessness or a lapse in judgement, not malice. Though perhaps not in this case - kills really did sound quite spiteful on the show). It

Have to disagree there - it still refers to a woman's genitals over here in Blighty, so not sure why people think it isn't gendered.

THANK YOU. I'm in America so have virtually no clue about these people or this show, but I've seen the clips and read internet comments on Twitter/elsewhere. She went on and on about a suit and that's annoying, but her husband called the guy a serial killer. Hers was more drawn out but his was more ridiculous, and *no

One thing I like out of this whole situation is that Lorde sent Joe cupcakes and a note encouraging him to continue being himself, continuing to prove that Lorde is a Good Teen.

That's what I was thinking too. "Twat" applies to both genders. "Bitch", "cunt" and "slut" are gender specific, but "twat" is not. And personally, I often combine "twat" and "cunt" and just call people (of both genders) a "twunt".

This is the greatest comic. Some men need this tattooed somewhere so as to be constantly reminded of it.

Here we are, talking about sexism, and I was told to stop being so 'emotional' and 'aggressive' in this meeting. My male colleagues were not told the same thing.

I'm a diversity educator/dean at an independent school and while I was in a meeting with other upper level administrators, I was pointing out some harmful sexist/binary/heteronormative policies that are in place at the school. This was a discussion where my voice never once raised in volume. I kept an even-tempered

"because of unconscious bias, men often appropriate the ideas of female counterparts and get all the credit". Yeah, "unconscious".

I'm smelling "plant," too.

It was irritating reading about this on The Verge because every other comment was some variation of "well he probably just interrupts people a lot so really it has nothing to do with sexism."

I get that, but I also think there’s an abyss of difference, in our corporate culture, between promoting a diverse, unbiased atmosphere in the workplace and calling out your boss amid a packed panel audience at a high-profile event. Again, I’m not saying she was wrong to do it, I’m just saying that, regardless of how

Stuck between facepalming and headdesking - I just sandwiched my hand between my nose and the desk and now my fingers hurt.

15+6=23 is absolutely correct - in octal.

Everyone lay off Mark! It's common knowledge that men are terrible at math (and science).

I bet he doesn't even know that 40 is as many as four tens. And that's terrible.

;)

UMM 15+6= 21...not 23... I think you'd get left at the altar, too.
