When I use private browsing, I fire up my virtual machine and use IE private mode. That way nothing resides on my "base" OS.

Nothing. Once I am living on my own, its going to be internet only

Wireless N technically.. But I use a WEP key so it is limited to 54Mbps, essentially wireless G. I need to check some settings in my router, so I saw no change in how far my signal went when I got the Ultra Range Wireless N

@CIM: I'm guessing were not looking at the apps, rather that we are looking at the browser. But I could be wrong

Yes! I have been waiting on this for a while.. Got a 23" monitor and was trying to find some monitor managing software and couldnt find any. Thank you Lifehacker

I have. When I travel I dont want to carry around my laptop and a bunch of DVDs. Much nicer to carry around a laptop with the files already on there.

Never tried this before...

I just got my Motorola Droid the other day, and I was wondering how I can extend the battery life. On a typical day, my battery is at 15% by the time I get home. The phone is off charger from 6AM til 2:30PM and by that point it needs to be charged again. I do moderate usage throughout the day(Light texting, web

In house I use Windows built in Remote Desktop Connection.. Never really connect outside of that. Besides my random times connecting to WHS from school for music streaming

I dont think I have it currently. I just did a system recovery and havent been on a site that needed silverlight, so havent seen the need for it

I just run a full Windows XP professional in Virtualbox. Works for me. Only disappointment is lack of directx in it for my old games.

@timgray: I might buy that if I get another 23" monitor. My shelf cant fit two 23" (one 23" and a 15" on it now). but where my desk it, it would work perfectly and look pretty nice in my opinion

Weird, my neighbors and I discussed flame throwers in how to remove the snow as well.. Too bad none of us were engineers(Marylander as well)

My hard drive is approaching its capacity once again(upgraded from a 320GB to a 500GB, laptop storage sucks). And I was looking for a program that could analyze what uses my hard drive space and when was the last time I accessed the file. Or someone can recommend me a nice internal laptop drive that has plenty of

I dont need a giant iPod. Things this thing really should have had to make a bigger hit:

@luckycharms: I just got my Windows Home Server set up this weekend. My family purchased a new laptop, so I was allowed to take the 3 year old HP desktop my brother was using for school work. I installed WHS on it and been loving it so far. Easy to add new drives to it, streaming music to my Xbox, got the online

I would like to purchase parts for a desktop and build a high powered one. My laptop cant handle what I need to do sometimes.
