Got salty real fast in here.
Since the truck lost two inches of sag due to weight reduction, wouldn’t that basically mean that it will now ride stiffly enough to beat the pee right out of your kidneys?
Great post and exactly what I found while searching for a gently used 4Runner. Most of the trucks spec’d the way I wanted (Trail premium, KDSS) were going for around $40K, practically the price of new. I found a CPO in Portland with 15K miles on the clock, WITH the exact upgraded KO2 tires I planned on installing, for…
I seriously considered an AWD Sequoia and a set of pizza-cutter KO2s, but I chickened out. The AT tires would have knocked off a few MPG anyway. I’m happy in the 4Runner because it rides very similar to the Tacoma I sold (and miss every day).
Seriously, fuck Nissan motors for this.
Americans have long ago forgotten how to say “Poojoh”.
If I were in the market, would the GT350 be worth the premium and dealer markup? Or is this thing 90% of the fun for 60% of the price?
No it doesn’t. Have you tried reading?
The one thing I miss most about giving up my Tacoma for the 5th gen T4R (dogs + kid on the way!) is giving up the manual transmission. I swear Toyota could find a similar take-rate if they brought back a manual option for the 6th gen.
By the way I love the drive through Titus! Very easy but worth the trip all the way around to the east side of DV.
She’s a big beautiful beast, but I think I’m most happy in my Trail Premium 4Runner. A bit smaller and less luxurious, but it has a big dumb reliable V6, no third row, and the rear window rolls down for the dogs to drool out of. It also has way more range because the tank is 23 gallons but it sips less!
They still have it. It’s also useful for bumping the truck in a sticky spot off-road, as well as starting the engine when you’re not sitting inside. My 2012 Tacoma also still had the “bayonet” style handbrake that comes out under the dash by your right knee. This is so you can use the handbrake in conjunction with a…
Thisis how shifting should be done. All of you Fast n Furious hamfisters look really dumb and your synchros are trashed.
Why are there even any other comments after this?
These things always seem so slow and ponderous when watching them land. Then you realize they’re moving, just really damn big.
