@apricotta: Ha! I think that's what I'll refer to those moments as from now on. I have them regularly.
@apricotta: Ha! I think that's what I'll refer to those moments as from now on. I have them regularly.
@apricotta: Yeah yeah... this again. With the millennium you could conceivably have a point, as we tend to name millenniums in an ordinal fashion, but this is all a bit pointless with decades. Any period of ten years can be called a decade, and in western convention we usually group them from 0-9, allowing for easy…
@Ipomoea: I think Chuck - personality wise at least - is almost more well known now than then because of his TNT gig.
@boobookitteh: Only while standing extremely closely together while awkwardly facing the same way.
@MakeMeSmile: Well... "openly" upset according to a source in a tabloid newspaper story entitled "Tiger Mama Mad At Her Cub."
@Sherbet Gravel: If they fired people for sucking on SNL would there even be a SNL?
Somebody on here or gawker once suggested that Mad Men could do an excellent spin off show based on Carla and her family/world outside of her job at the Drapers'. The idea has stuck with me since then and I've often thought about how much I would enjoy a companion show like that. Unless it becomes like Family Matters…
@BytheSea: Both. I enjoy the gawker/jezebel breakdowns of trailers and enjoy comments responding. Way more fun than reading the über nerds on imdb dissect whatever I've been working on.
@Cimorene: You make very good points and I pretty much agree. I suppose I should also point out that I'm not much of a fan of Cameron's films, though I have a begrudging respect that he gets them made his way.
@Jill7: It's really closer to Luke's robe in Jedi. I mean... uhhh... nevermind.
@Cimorene: Well, as long as the tits are the same from shot to shot it's not really a continuity error per se. It's more of a gigantic flaw in logic.
As somebody who has spent a portion of my life making film trailers, these posts always totally crack me up. In a good way.
@hortense: Well I think we can all agree that he's more of a moneyist than any other -ist...
@Crackers in Bed: THANK YOU! I'm totally with you... although it's not actually papyrus, though it's very close.
@ZombieEmpress: Well... I'm guessing Cameron (and Hollywood) would rather lure in the 'Titanic 'audience than you in this case... more money, y'know?
@ytuhermanotambien: Perhaps, but it certainly had made him a filmmaker who has had a lot of box office success with both male and female audiences.
@Highsmith: I suppose you also don't grasp the important work that a good "hype man" does either...
@tonilost: Tell me about it, man.
@nyc-caribbean-ragazza: Even more than to bump up ratings for the broadcast, it's a scheme for the studios to make more money being able to hype five extra flicks as best picture nominees.
@sensitivitycop: I would probably agree with you if those were the only two movies I was choosing between.
