@BrutallyHonestBabes: Ha! I could understand that... Without getting into judging the quality of the laughs, I'd say that the site was purposefully far over the top to get attention. I'm not doubting there's an element of truth to it... anyway, the girls said as much in the NYT article. That the blog was a bit tongue

@BrutallyHonestBabes: Oh c'mon... there were comments where they would imagine walking through the park in matching peacoates with their adopted Asian children in tow... It was straight out of SATC.

The writing on the site seemed like obvious satire. I thought in the NYT article they claimed the site was a bit tongue in cheek but still reflected their lives... I think they were quasi-fessing up to it, though that doesn't mean there isn't an element of truth. Who knows...

@Mmmmkay: That's the strangest part of this whole thing. Not just in Ashlee's work, but the very fact that Jessica Simpson is ONLY famous for being thin and having big boobs (my apologies to her amazing singing career). It's strange of Ashley to lambast the media for for promoting unhealthy body types and being a bad

@Diziet_Sma: Because you're apparently sane. Congrats!

But flannel is back?

Does Bryan Singer age?

@goldengirl11 (is way too earnest): I hope you understand there is a BIG difference between hating everybody in the world, and hating those who decide to appear on Season One Billion of the Real Housewives of OC.

@LaComtesse: Ha... I love devil's advocate yet it always gets me in trouble. In this case, I'm guessing anybody that willingly appears on this show in mentally deranged and a complete waste of food. That goes for the dipshit son AND the trainwreck mom.

@eastofwest: YES! I mentioned that elsewhere and wish it was brought up in this post. This is a stock joke from Bush that he tells at many speaking engagements, just probably not in front of cameras that often.

@DinosaurDanceParty: So what WOULD it take to actually get into it there on the stage?

@ItchykooParker: Well... yeah, because of his obvious blatant history of being a skeevy perv.

@Majrhoulihan: This is actually a stock joke Bush tells regularly when hired to speak.

@PilgrimSoul: I've never seen idealism work in American government, aside from - maybe - in Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. Obama is not the saviour and never was. He's a bright guy that will do what he can, and hopefully have some success. If the stimulus bill wasn't the right place for birth control funding, so be it.

@Jello Mix: Ahhhh... that explains why Bond movies are entertaining and Bourne films are self serious workmanlike tripe.

@nigeriangirl: I don't know that he really tried to justify pedophilia, and he certainly didn't try to justify it in an offhanded way such as saying it's just a fetish. I would agree it's a fetish, by the way... there are "good" and "bad" fetishes, the word itself is somewhat neutral. Anyway, I thought his take on

@6may: Did you read this full article? The theory from one psychologist on foot fetishes is fairly interesting, if a bit of a reach...

@zu_zu: I believe the definition of fetish is simply a specific sexual desire of an abnormal degree... which could be consensual or non consensual...

@misspell: Same here. I also strongly suggest looking up the wikipedia entry for carny vocabulary.

@Slumdog_Mamabear: One imagines it has more to do with avoiding the asshole walking backwards in front of you flashing his camera in your face.
