VW’s of this gen and today are not nearly as unreliable as you’re making them out to be. I’ve had both an MK5 Jetta and MK6 GTI with zero issues outside of wearables. Anecdotal, sure. Objectively more reliable than a used Range Rover? I’d say so.

Front view looks like a Frog Pope.
Even Golf R
Idk man, the intent of post this seems off for me.
::shakes fist at being in the GRAYS again::
Also, the amber on the headlight assembly seems to better match an Optima. See amber/orange on the bottom of headlights.
I’m in line with this - I’m getting Kia Optima vibes as well (shared parts obvi). The amber on the headlight assembly better matches the pics than a Camry does.
I’ve gone back & forth between Kia Optima (‘07 or newer) and Camry.
Seeing the Camry get a lot of upvotes, but consider Kia Optima. The chrome accents on bottom of passenger windows, round emblem on trunk, the wheel design (top/header image on right), headlight shapes, the wrap around rear tail lights.
Weird video…
hmmm. Just within the past month!
Um, very NP.
If you keep placing these auto-play video ads on Jalopnik...we got a problem, brother.

I gotta say, it’s not a terrible idea
agree w/ towncar.
1990's Lincoln Continental or equivalent Ford product is jumping out to me.
YAS. Thank you for this. Sure, a Taco buyer might say they can turn around and sell it down the road for darn near the same price, but come on...this is cray.
Meh. I like the effort, but it’s pretty pricey for me. How much is it worth it for me to NOT have to explain to everyone that my Buick is *different* and not like the old Buicks? Golf R ftw.
Also, Mazda 6 much?
Wow...this is....good? It’s good.
Seems a little ridiculous for them to surprise and corner an armed & dangerous man when they’re in a business surrounded by innocent people with no where to run.
This thing will go forever. Had a ‘97 2.2 CL w/ 5spd man and 179k. Reliable as fuque. Sold it in ‘12 for only 2k because I just got a big boy job and thought I needed car payments. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
