2003 E39 M5 for $16k. 165k miles on the odometer, recent work on the right sort of items, stock OEM parts. Okay, the “small dent” is bigger than small, but still.
Get that sucker for like $14.5k? Maybe that dent magically pops out and/or you find a new fender? I’m just saying.

My dad passed away a little over a week and a half ago. It was brewing for a while so I think we’re all lucky to have had time to prepare over the past few years and it was by no means a total surprise. No sympathy needed for me, just my mom.
Things got a little crazy once the news dropped. Figure out the pets, work,…
I gotta tip my hat to Tire Rack.
Still love it. Claude the dog also making a surprise appearance.
My wife Steph in the background. Our new 2015 BMW 228i w/ M-Sport, Lighting, and Climate Pkg. RWD & 6 Speed manual transmission? C’monnnnn. Check.
My sporadic postings (and internal dialogue) of late have mostly revolved around our growing disdain for our XC90. We went from being the hot hatch couple rocking a GTI…
Drool worthy “Silver Sled” 900 for your time.
No, that’s ^ not me, but it is the same type of plane I’ll be in - Cessna 162.
Anyway, I’m taking my 2nd lesson towards my PPL on Wednesday. First one was great, but I’m not really sure what to expect this time around since it’s not a “discovery” flight.
There’s probably another sub-blog to post this on, but does…
Have you ever researched, test drove, and then *bought* a car only to find out that...you don’t like it?
I sold my cream puff ‘12 GTI Autobahn because I wasn’t driving it as much, didn’t want to worry about it being street parked in the city, and honestly just needed more room. Bought a Certified ‘12 XC90 after…
So, wife and I traded my beloved GTI Autobahn (4dr, MT, 2012 w/36k) for a 2012 XC90 w/ certified warranty, 59k miles, premier plus package. Not my car, but exact match above.
Not as “trucky” as I wanted, but Toyota doesn’t do it for me (except Landcruiser...but $$), Jeep GC models we wanted were too much money, a…
I recently moved and I’m now working from home full time. Why does this matter? Well, my beloved ‘12 GTI Autobahn sits on the streets of Seattle and I’m not driving it nearly as much as I used to/should be.
Instead of daily trips, my driving now consists of fewer (but longer) trips to go hiking, skiing, exploring, etc.
My GTI in front of a big rock for your time.
Recently moved to Seattle and looking for reccos on a new go-to dealer/shop for all my service needs. Do any of the local Oppos know where I’ll be best off?
Help me figure this out.
I was aimlessly poking around Car & Driver last night and came across this article about AWD as an option on the VW Golf SportWagen for ‘17. I was surprised to see it’s only being offered on the S model and not the SE, or the more luxurious SEL model. Sure, I’m happy we can say that there’s a…
I happened to stumble upon these during the drive from Denver to Vail! I’m going to say these look gnarly. No better word.
Selling my wife’s car and it’s taking a little longer than expected. 2008 MINI Cooper S, 6 spd manual, sport pkg, around 65k miles, blah blah.
I’ve had it at $7500 and just lowered to $7200. KBB and NADA come in a tad lower, but I’m pricing at what the market is showing.
Anyway, is it NP or CP!? Oh, and if you want to…
This land might technically be part of the city of Philadelphia. Can you believe that? Dirt roads, open fields, sunset - you know I pulled over and grabbed a pic. I even put it on Instagram, not that most of my followers appreciate a lick of car culture.
I've been meaning to share this little guy for a while. Typical rust problems, but it runs and it's still pretty damn cool. Haven't seen who drives it yet, though they live nearby.
Finally pulled the trigger on upgrading the car.
I liked it. A lot.
