No, that’s not what it means at all. The new stadium has priced out the die hard fans. I used to go to Yankees/Red Sox games and buy tickets the day of the game back in the late 90’s early 00’s. I’d pay something like $40 and be sitting 10 rows behind the dugout. Now? The same seats in the new stadium run $500 if not

You do know that 1996-2001 happened 14-19 years ago right? It was 5 out of 6 WS. Yes, a team that basically won 85 games this year doesn’t measure up to those teams that have 3 Hall of Famers. Shocker!

I guess. *shrugs*

Yea I agree. I grew up a Yankees fan in the 80’s. I’ve become indifferent the past few years. Part of that is moving away from the NYC area but they are just a boring team for the most part.

How did the Yankees blow it? They were a mediocre team for the most part. Good enough to make the playoffs but that was about it. This team wasn’t like the mid 2000’s teams that were winning 100 games and getting swept by the Angels or whatever.

Why? It’s not like Yankee fans were expecting to win the WS.

Oh I think if you fumble it out of the EZ, it’s a turnover. That’s not the part I have a problem with. The part I think is wrong is the team starts at the 20. You are literally handed 20% of the field. If they recover a fumble at the 1 yard line, you wouldn’t give it to them at the 21 yard line. It’s asinine.

Or like the Redskins last week vs the Giants. They drove something like 90 yards and fumbled it out of the EZ on a freak bounce. As a Giants fan, I laughed but yea no way should the Giants have gotten that ball back on the 20 yard line.

Exactly. MLB umpires know all the little rules that occur throughout the season. Say what you want about MLB umpires. They will fuck up obvious calls because they didn’t see something like a calling a ball a strike. But when it comes to the actual rules of the game, they are A+ spot on. They know the rules because

Ref looks at mat all confused: What is that? Where did that brown spot come from? And why does it smell? Oh shit...back up slowly while you can...

I guess. I just think the Eagles will be good enough not to suck but not good enough to win it all. 7-9 or 8-8 might win the division this year but that won’t get you to the SB.

Well, it is regression if you go from scoring 30 pts a game to 19. Sure, it’s only 4 games but it’s still 25% of the season. They will have to average 35 pts a game here on out to match last year. The whole division is shit so it wouldn’t surprise me if the division winner was 7-9. But that’s hardly an endorsement.

Or because he can’t read the “Please ring doorbell” sign.

I know it’s LOL SAS, but he does have a point. You generally don’t want to piss off someone in the media; especially if that person has a national platform like ESPN. They can ALWAYS find dirt on you if they are so inclined.

Maybe he woke up this morning in an alley somewhere and was like “Oh shit!”

I wonder if he found out before he got on the plane in London? If he did, that’s gotta be a sucky airplane ride. If he didn’t it’s still a sucky airplane ride because he was probably worrying if he was getting canned when he landed.

OK, here’s a better way to put it. Has any college coach with no NFL experience made the transition to the NFL where they had initial success, regressed, then built a contender and won a Super Bowl?

Sam Bradford is the quarterback. Sam Bradford.

It’s amazing how these coaches don’t realize this. In college football, you get a new batch of students every year so you can keep doing the same thing over and over again because you are always facing new college students that have never faced an offense like that. But in the NFL, you might have guys on defense that

So when does old Chipperoo learn that football players aren’t video game characters and that you can’t just mix and match like it’s a Madden game with your drunk buddies?
