Exactly, if you want an R107 there are always several for sale on CL and Facebook even in my flyover state, they survive at amazing rates, not perfect, but very nice ones for somewhere just a little north of $10k.

No Dice. This is one of those “Buy the best car you can afford situations:” because the best car is not that much more expensive. I think almost anyone who has only $7k to spend on a car probably won’t want to spend it on an ugly-looking R107. And anyone who wants an R107 in their life can go $12-ish with some…
This is the official vehicle of “Christian family planning”, AKA spray n’ pray. Does prayer work? Not as well as condoms or vasectomies.
I would respectfully request that car people please let things like this alone and let the non car people buy them. Gear heads will be disappointed and the absolute blandness with never be noticed by the non car people. My cousin has totaled 2 of these bore machines, both in white.
I honestly have no idea what constitutes a good price on a used car in 2023, apparently. I immediately saw 148K on a Dodge and went ‘oh, hell no.’ Then I looked up what similar ones are selling for. NP for the market, but ND for me.
Irrational NP on this one. It’s a frankencar but it’s a clever and nicely done frankencar. It isn’t quite finished though, swap the spoke rims fir some alloy 5 slots and lose the 1980's cladding on the sides. Maybe get really cheeky and do some wood.
Well...certainly not if I buy it.
Lol, everything you two complain about is inherent with most vans of this era. If you want all the things vans don’t have, buy another Monte Carlo. For THIS kind of van, $3,900 is pretty dang reasonable.
I loathed this era of severely squared-off rooflines, but if it doesn’t bother you, here’s a livable runner that’s unique enough for your local C&C for less than $5K. Easy NP.
1. You’re an Audi mechanic; buy the car.
It is the manual. I’d say its worth half what he’s asking.
These had a bad reputation when they were new, and now 150k miles later there’s no way this car won’t be an endless source of high repair bills. There are so many better options as far as wagons go, at much lower prices, that won’t either leave you stranded or your wallet in pain. Easy and obvious ND.
For $4000 you can either get this or a rusted RAV4 with 322,000 miles and a salvage title. NP.
This is not the car to cater to your desires, but it is a great way to meet your needs. It’s a car. Being a wagon adds utility.
I’d like to love this car but I can’t
Nothing says a car is being sold by an old guy who can’t drive it anymore like 1) Florida and 2) a time stamp on the pictures. Somebody spent some money getting this car to look like this, and some small details aside they did a good job (not a fan of the bumper delete). I owned a ‘74 MGB convertible about…
Really?... Gray? Could they have chosen a worse “color” for a car that should be in a fun color?
$20K for a trailer queen that only gets out two or three days a year simply does not appeal to me . . . ND
Ah c’mon...live a little!
