Listen, I am all in on the overfender craze. Anything from simple black flares bolted onto an older Japanese car to the full on nearly-every-panel widebody kits from Liberty Walk. It’s a look I have always loved and I didn’t realize how much so until companies like them and RWB started getting famous. Even the

Pop rivetted fender flares is a look that needs to die.  Like yesterday.

I am always going to NP a car that seems like a reasonable price for a good daily driver. I know the dude who hates German autos will bitch and the dude who loves them all, will wax rhapsodic. I just want dependable.

Cheaper than all of these yakuza tattoos I got. Talk about a mistake. Especially cutting off this finger.

Buy it, wrap it, and peel the wrap off in the event that Lipsitz actually does become famous. At worst you’ve scored a cool car for a bargain. At best you will make some serious money when an insufferable art collector decides that they must have something from before Lipsitz “sold out and went mainstream”.

Oh no. Not a Crack Pipe.

Not even for free Scooby snax.

I was about to be all in for the NP, but the interior threw me. That’s nearly just generic stock interior. If you have a van like this, it needs to be like this all the way. Forget the wheels being wrong, the entire inside is wrong.

NP, although for me I’d have its Magnum brother. I wouldn’t want to be associated as a Charger driver though...Whenever you see shit on social media or the internet with street takeovers, burnouts in crowds etc its almost always chargers or challengers these days.

As a father with four daughters, all of which that I have had to buy vehicles for, this a good price for a reliable and reasonably safe first car.  Especially in the SoCal market. Assuming in presents the same in person as the ad, this is an easy NP.

Man, this has to be most brown listing so far.

I’d take the paint from the 90's over a lot of the paint on today’s cars.

Might I remind you what happened to Shelley’s monster?

Now that’s a crossover. As in, I’ll cross over to the other side of the street if I encounter this. Do I even need to say ND?

I agree with your take on Rob’s writing. NPND is a gem.

Alarmingly described in retrospect as a ‘test bed’ for later W12 and W16 engines”

A 16 year old 190k mile VW with an extremely complex and insanely rare drivetrain, an open exhaust “for sound” (for a CEL more likely), and wheels TBD, what could possibly be or go wrong?

... and the listing is already gone. Despite some softening of the economy in recent months, the used car market is still batshit crazy white-hot. If this car was as clean as it looked, with no accident history, $21k was a bargain. Not surprising it’s already gone.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. I think they are both adorkable.

I’ve always loved the Z3…so much that it’s amongst my favourite BMW’s.
